Marty
volunteered his Chubsy for the first flight of our new 75 MM 6 grain L1600
motor. Unfortunately the Missile Works RRC2 put the laundry out very early
at 3300' causing 2 blown out panels on his RC9 chute, other than that a
great flight. |
Post flight picture of the two 6 grain motors, they are much lighter now! |

The 6" test rocket has grown to
8' tall due to airframe changes to accommodate larger motors and chutes.
Here it is flying on the new 75 mm 6 grain L1700 motor pushing this 28lb
beast to 6157'! Due to the weight gain the 72" Aerocon chute was not
enough, so we shoved two in the bag and the RRC2X deployed them at 800'
for a perfect recovery. |

Marty's Mini Magg nick named "Many Mendings" Flying on a 38 MM J class AP
motor with a weird flame, but a great flight! |
The Test Tube
flying on our first Dextrose motor an I400 54 mm 2 grain for a perfect
flight. Also marking the first time we pulled a deployment bag out of it's
3" zipperless airframe! |

Mike Meehl's big Red and White
rocket hauling tail on a big 54 mm AP motor. Shortly after that picture it
had a rather spectacular shred! Mike is getting good at the shred thing,
either the motors need to be smaller or the rockets need to be stronger! |
Jim
Rutkowski's carbon fibered Estes Fay Boy on a 38 mm H242. A very fast and
high flight, the chute stayed in the nose cone, but it will live to fly
again. This brave little rocket flew our first sugar motor! |

Jim's Estes Big Daddy on a 38 mm G122, great fast flight! |

Our new launcher
after it's first day of hard work, a little hard on the grass and dirt,
but other than that it did a great job! |
