XRAA 6-5-2004

As we left the shop the radio reported 85F heading for a high of 111F! But a good crowd of brave souls showed up making for a great launch. Don Alexander brought his new test stand and test fired several motors. A bunch of flights by several flyers, some we even got pictures of!

XRAA 4-3-2004

The weather looked terrible, it had rained the last couple of days and sprinkled on us on the drive to the site, weather.com called for rain all day. But we got lucky and had no rain and windows overhead with clear blue sky all day! The rocket gods were smiling on us. Most of the smart people stayed home and it was Mike Meehl and his crew, the Trailer Trash Crew and a few visitors again this month.

A perfect day for flying, but the week after ARG and all but us diehards had burned all their propellant!

The inaugural Arizona Rocket Gathering hosted by AHPRA went off well. We had many very good flights including Dan McCullough's level 3 flight and Mike Meehl's nice 'N' flight.

Here are a few pictures of the launch the weekend after Christmas. It's was a nice day for flying but a few of us had to get out the flannel shirts.

On our last launch before the new law goes into affect we had a good day with 6 outstanding launches. We got a few pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Some more first's for TTA this weekend. We had a few flights on our new 75mm 6 grain L1600 Sugar motor.

There were some spectacular flights this weekend, including a 17' Mean Machine getting a little to much speed from it's M 75mm AP EX motor.

Also 98mm N motor giving a camouflage rocket a little to much trust.

Boy Scout Annual launch 2-14-03

The Boy Scouts were nice enough to invite us to fly some of our sugar rockets at their annual campout and rocket launch. Here are a few pictures we got.

Kevin's Black 6"

This rocket started out as just a test rocket for our 75mm sugar motors but it as evolved into one of the regular flyers. Here are a few pic's of it's ongoing evolution.

54mm Crayon

Here are a few pictures of Kevin's Crayon. This rocket has had alot of good flights and I think 1/2 of them came down without all the laundry out due to testing different ejection styles. It bounces well and has never been damaged....Yet!

10" Test Tube Rocket

Check out Kevin's new rocket. This was built to test the new 5" diameter motor we are working on here. I will add more as he finishes the project.
